Agreed

Death bed Jerry - these were, in fact, the ballads of a dying man in Spring/summer 86. He was tired, and close to the edge. There were some truly abysmal musical moments right before his diabetic coma.

The lyrics of loser come into play for me here.

"come to daddy on an inside strait
I got no chance of losing this time"

Jerry who was drudging up the effort to give it one more show.
